Durante estos amistosos, la Junta directiva comenzó
negociaciones en busca de patrocinio para el nuevo uniforme del equipo. Inesperadamente
no solo contamos con el usual apoyo de nuestro patrociNeitor habitual, ahora
bajo la piel de 14Ochomiles; sino que adicionalmente, dos nuevos refuerzos,
Manuel y Diego se comprometían con futbol y el patrocinio de Arditech.
Con este impulso económico y la ruana llena de plata, la Junta directiva se embarcó en el diseño del nuevo uniforme, y con las opciones listas inicio un proceso democrático para la elección del diseño ganador. Después de eliminatorias, rondas previas, elecciones primarias segundas vueltas por fin tuvimos humo blanco resultando ganador el modelo estudiantes de la plata.
Sorpresivamente, al hacer las cuentas nos
encontramos con que íbamos a mandar a hacer más de 30 uniformes y en una
decisión autocrática, la Junta
directiva decidió que en esta oportunidad el GAT mandaría a elaborar uniforme
de local y visitante que fue definido en cinco minutos modificando una camiseta
del Quindio. Adicionalmente, el equipo tendría por primera vez camisetas de
presentación oficiales.
La licitación para la elaboración de los
uniformes requirió varias consultas en el centro y el siete de agosto,
visitando prestigiosas marcas del futbol semiprofesional como Saeta y FSS, pero
tras las consultas, encontramos que la mejor opción no era nacional sino enclavada
en los Andes y con sabor a chica morada. De esta manera, la firma peruana Walon
fue seleccionada para la fabricación de la indumentaria del GAT, hermandando al
glorioso con equipos como el Quindío, Once caldas, león de Huanuco, Alianza Sullana y las selecciones Bolivia y Perú.
Todo este proceso nos acercó a un amable, pero
a veces incompresible peruano de nombre Carlitos, quien se encargó de atender y
complacer las exigentes demandas de la
Junta directiva del GAT. Tras arduas jornadas de análisis,
negociación, la orden fue enviada a la planta de producción en Lima, quedando a
la espera del preciado cargamento.
